Preston turns Five!

Yeah! Presty turned 5 on April 26th. I can't believe that my little munchkin is already 5 years old. Kindergarten, look out... here he comes! Preston wanted to go to Hollywood Connection on his birthday, and it was alot of fun. We rode rides, roller skated, and mini golfed, our way through the place. It was an exciting afternoon. On May 1st, we celebrated with Family at a place called Kangaroo Zoo. The kids and cousins were bouncing off the walls and having a great time. Well maybe not Preston. He was sad that he couldn't have any of his birthday cake. The night before his party Preston was running around on a playground at Daxy's soccer game. He was running up the steel steps when he tripped and his front teeth and gums took a huge hit. They pushed his teeth back and up and tore his gums up like raw hamburger (yuck). We took him to the dentist and the Dr. put him on a liquid diet for a few days in order not to disturb his teeth any further. So poor Preston wasn't able to eat any pizza or cake at his own party - how sad is that? If you know how much Preston LOVES cake you understand just how sad it was. His Uncle Devin saved the day however by running and getting him an ice cream shake to eat so that he wouldn't feel so bad - Thanks Uncle Devin! Even though there were times you could tell he was in pain... I think that running around with cousins took his mind off his teeth at least for a little while. By the end of the night, the kids were bright red and sweating like crazy from all the running, jumping, and sliding, that they did. Preston said that this was the best birthday ever! No pressure for next year... :) It was great being able to celebrate with Family. We topped off the weekend by seeing the Disney Nature movie "Earth". The kids loved it. Even Ayla was entertained and loved yelling out every animal that came onto the screen. Trevin was fascinated to think about all the exciting things happening in the world around him while he goes to school or plays sports. All in all, it was a great weekend. Preston had a great time and has started eating a little bit. I think everyday his mouth is feeling a little bit better. Thanks to all of you who helped make this weekend special. You gotta love Family, and we're lucky to have a great one!
